Some staff have had families speak to them regarding homeschooling. This is the decision of each individual family, however, I do offer the following information. The choice to homeschool will mean ending your enrolment at GHSS. We will no longer be able to offer you the support of your teacher or access to resources from that time onwards. You will be required to then register with the education department and they will provide a period of time for you to prepare a learning program that meets the curriculum needs of your child or children. They will then conduct a homevisit to assess the appropriateness of your program of learning and advise on any required alterations and improvements. The terms and conditions of Fee Policy remain in place and state that any child who withdraws from the school must provide one full term’s notice and can’t seek to reenrol until the following school year.

Please ensure you give a homeschooling decision considerable thought. Our staff really do not want to lose any child from their class and are working hard to ensure that we can continue to support and monitor the learning and development of your children.
