We have had glowing feedback from Jewels' parent education session on the topic of handwork in the month of July, where parents heard all about the handwork progression of skills through the Steiner curriculum journey, while learning to hand sew a felted swan.

It was such a lovely opportunity to hear about aspects of our curriculum, share conversation, drink tea, meet new parents and learn new skills.

Here is a response from Olivia, parent of Class 1 and 2 students Juno and Amaya:

'I loved the handwork session!!!

As soon as I got home I finished my swan and am now looking forward to another one. 

I love how my daughters Amaya and Juno felt proud of seeing the swan as well. A day later, I was sitting with Amaya helping her with a project started by her of sewing a pocket/bag.
