Greetings from Silver Birch Playgroup!

It has been a joy to reconnect with our Playgroup families and welcome in new ones too.  Our first morning back last week began inside our cozy room as it was rather cold, wet and sloshy outside!  Cubbies were built, teas were made, babies were cuddled and toys awoke...yes our little folk were very busy.  

Making our bread for morning tea is a treasured part of our time together...what shape will it be today?...will all the sultanas make it into our bread or mysteriously go elsewhere?  Chopping fruit needs helping hands too and the older children have been eager to help.  

Our morning rhythm helps the children to relax, knowing what will come next and this is such a gift to give them.  The magic of our seasonal circle songs and rhymes brings instant harmony into the space, it is such a joy to be part of.

Thank you to Katja who has wonderfully held Friday Playgroup since the beginning of the year.  This term will see this change with existing families of Friday Playgroup invited to attend Thursday's group if able to.  Katja has opened up the opportunity for Friday craft group where little ones can play whilst parents create and this will be held in Silver Birch Playgroup as well.
