Dear GHSS Families,
Our Spring Djilba Festival is this week, on THursday, from 8.40am. We are celebrating this special time of year as we farewell Winter and Makuru and enter a time of blossoming and new growth.
We look forward to parents joining us on Thursday, from the very beginning of the school day, to make Spring garlands with your child's class, on their class verandahs. For those who can, your garden contributions of vines, greenery and spring blooms will be greatly appreciated to assist in the creation of the garlands. Programs with the words to our songs will also be available in the classes and we encourage you to take a copy so you can sing along with the children to our Spring Festival songs.
A reminder that many staff will be travelling to Perth after the Spring Djilba Festival to attend Steiner Schools Day at Perth Waldorf School. Parents are welcome to take children home at the conclusion of the Festival at 1pm. Children remaining at school will be supervised by Lisa, Heather and Ellen.
A reminder that withdrawal notices for 2021 are due in by 3pm on Monday, October 12th, the first day of next term, in order to avoid being responsible for Term 1 fees for 2021. This does not apply to those students in Class 6 who will be moving to High School for next year.
Wishing everyone a wonderful break, starting from our Pupil Free Day on Friday. We look forward to welcoming everyone back for Term 4 on Monday, October 12th. A reminder that Term 4 is a "No Hat, No Play" term, so don't forget to dust off a broad brimmed hat ready for the playground!
Warm Regards,
Jacqui Hamblin
Principal
Class 3/4 sleepover has been deemed a success! The children were very excited to spend the night in their classroom surrounded by their peers. An evening of board games, craft, dressing up for dinner and spotlight has indeed proved exhausting, but oh what fun!!

Class 5 had a wonderful time competing at the Greek Olympics last Friday. It was a fantastic experience and many new friendships were made!

If you want to have a slow quiet day, you can hide in the bush. If you want to be social, sit near the circle. If you want to be busy there is so much to do to help the bush area or learn a new skill under Kristi's guidance. If you want to relax, its all there for you. Please bring what you need to be comfortable in the bush area.
Please bring own plates and cutlery (some provided) and bring something for a healthy shared morning tea.
