Dear GHSS Families,
This weekend is the Garage Sale Trail weekend across Australia and we are planning to be a part of it with our Spring Clean Fair! However, we need more families to book their car boot spaces and school oval spots. For a small fee of $10 a car boot space and $15 for a place on the oval, you get to take home the tidy sum you make on selling your unwanted items, everyone gets to feel good re-homing unwanted items instead of sending them to to landfill and we get some more funds to turn our Kitchen Garden Classroom into a reality - win-win all round really!
A reminder too that we need each family to supply baked goods for our tea, coffee and cake stall - biscuits, scones, cakes or slices, muffins - sweet or savoury or perhaps pizza scrolls, sandwiches and quiches are more your thing? - whatever your speciality is, your donation will be greatly appreciated. These can be dropped to the school on Friday afternoon or else Saturday morning. Please ensure they are well covered or sealed (against the ants) and if they require refrigeration, there will be fridge space in the hall although keep in mind it is limited.
And finally, don't forget to book yourself into a time slot (or two!) to either serve tea, coffee and cake or sizzle sausages at the barbie! The link is in the article below or you can call the office to book your spot. Please support the school in their efforts to further raise the profile of our Biodynamic Gardening program!
The school will be forwarding a survey to our entire school population in regards to the possibility of establishing a middle school program in the near future. We are looking to expand our offering to include years 7 to 10 and are seeking your thoughts and feedback. A survey monkey link will be forwarded to all families in a separate email this week, so please keep a look out for it and take the time to complete the survey and return it to the school by Wednesday, December 2nd.
Warm regards,
Jacqui Hamblin
