Thank you to those parents who came to meet with staff to discuss their child’s report and progress for Semester 1. If you missed the opportunity to meet with the class teacher, we encourage you to contact the class teacher to arrange a time.
At the end of last term we bid a hasty farewell to our Class 5/6 teacher, Eliza Allen, who had the opportunity to take on a leadership position at a school in Halls Creek. We wish her the very best of luck in her new role. Ashley Schipp has taken on additional days to teach in Class 5/6 Mondays to Wednesdays and welcome to Kate Woodward who is doing Thursdays and Fridays. The class appears to have made a smooth and settled transition and I am looking forward to Curry Night on Friday evening to gather together with the class and teachers.
We have noticed that there has been a decline in the standard of dress at school. A reminder to all that our dress code requires
- that children with long hair wear it tied back at school;
- children are able to wear clothes in any colour of the rainbow but no black;
- slogans, large logos and characters are not permitted.
We ask that parents support the school by ensuring children leave for school appropriately dressed.
The school recently hosted a group of Independent School Principals from small schools in the area and Perth. It was lovely to be able to show them around our school and I was incredibly proud of the performance delivered by the Class 4 students who sang and performed a song from the forthcoming play. Well done to all of you!
Enjoy your weekend and the final arrival of Winter!
Warm regards
