The Spring Festival was a lovely way to end Term 3 - what a wonderful community we have at Golden Hill Steiner School!
Well done to all the children and staff who put in so much effort in preparation for this event, and thank you to the parents, carers and community members who came along to partake in the festivities.

This includes Class 6 students who will not be attending GHSS for Class 7.

The Golden Hill Steiner School Spring Fair and Open Day has been rescheduled to 19th November, to coincide with the Garage Sale Trail. Please lock it in (take two!). We are excited to see the return of this magic filled day - to celebrate new beginnings with the Spring (particularly after the year we have had), reconnect our awesome school community, showcase our school to the wider community and most importantly see the joy the kids get from being a part of a beautiful celebration!
If you do a spring clean over the school holiday break, or get into your garden, please keep in mind that we will be seeking donations of toys, clothes, books and other household items in good saleable condition (no stains, relatively consistent with Steiner ethos), as well as potted plants for a pop up ‘garage sale’. Funds raised will go towards a bush medicine garden and ongoing management of our new Healing Hut.
We will get into full swing planning after the break, in the meantime please get in touch if you would like to help out. All help will be greatly appreciated!

Year 7 School Immunisation Program
During Term 4, Year 7 students whose parents have given their consent will receive the second of the HPV immunisations. On this day ensure that your child has a good healthy breakfast and plenty of fluid to drink in order to reduce the risk of him/her fainting following immunisations.
Vaccinations like any medication may cause side effects, most of these are mild reactions. The injection site may become red and swollen, you can treat this by applying a cool damp cloth. Your child may experience some discomfort such as fever, headache or tiredness. For headache and discomfort, paracetamol may be given as directed on the manufacturer’s label. If fever persists, consult your doctor. Seek medical advice if your child experiences a reaction that you are concerned about.
As it has been a number of months since completion of consent forms we would like to give parents the opportunity to inform us of any change to details on the consent form. Do not send notes to school please phone or email me, so I can make the changes immediately on your child’s consent form.
